Lacy & Lovely from Stampin' Up!

By the time you look at this post on Monday morning, I will be setting up my class room for the daytime and evening class where we will make this card and two others using the Lacy & Lovely Stamp set from Stampin' Up!

The Lacy and Lovely stamp set is used mostly in the background of this card but also the small flower is from this set.  I wanted to use bashful blue and certainly celery whilst I still could as they are both retiring at the end of June.  And if I am completely honest with you, I really did not like the secret garden bundle when I first saw it.  That changed when the lovely Caro (in my Dutch Pinkies team) sent me a beautiful card using this set. She has lots of samples made with this set and if you are not sure I urge you to check out her blog as she will totally inspire you.

I really struggled to take this photo, my pictures kept looking washed out no matter the weather that I just gave up and posted it! Come back in the coming days to see what other cards we made at my Technique class and perhaps next time you can join me?

Team Gifts using the Artisan Embellishments Kit from Stampin' Up!

Some of my wonderful team recently promoted to a higher title and I made these little gifts to recognise their achievements.  For every person in my direct team who promotes to Bronze 2, I give them a keyring and two beads.  The idea is that they will then add a new bead when promoting to each title so that in time they will have a keyring packed with beads, each one holding a memory or an achievement.

I always like to make a box or pretty card to put the keyrings and beads in and used the Print Poetry Designers Series Paper stack (£6.25 for 48 sheets 11.4cm x 46.5cm - such great value) and also the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  Inside this kit you get a wonderful array of creative embellishments for only £8.95 and I decided to use the pretty flowers in the kit.  So simple and the stems are on wire so easy to bend and curl to sit nicely on my project.

I also made another triangle box for Nicole who had promoted to Silver 1 and she got a little teapot charm to distinguish her box from the other boxes....

Everyone who promoted should have received their rewards by now so I can share the images with you.  Congratulations Pinkies on having a wonderful month....

Stampin' Up! training and more swaps and gifts.....

I had so much fun on the Friday before the event making gifts for some special people who would be at Telford.  I was short on time though so had to rustle them up rather quickly and I have to say that these were super quick to make.  I wrapped a belly band around a couple of tins I had lying around and using the scallop border trim punch to decorate the edge.  I had not used that punch for quite some time and felt guilty for not using it for a while as it has to sit and watch me craft everyday so hopefully it no longer feels left out ;0)  As you may know i cannot stop making these coffee filter paper flowers and made a larger version using the floral framelits (2nd smallest size).  I added some colour with our inks and a stippling brush on each layer of filter paper which gave a very delicate tone.  I then ruffled the layers to create these beautiful flowers and added them to the belly band.

I added a sentiment with the That's the ticket stamp set, stamped in whisper white and punched around using the coordinating ticket punch.  And then stamped my chosen sentiment using the Friendly Phrases stamp set (I love the fonts used in this set).  I then cut a leaf and crimped is using my crimping tool (check out my video to show you how to make the leaves here).

I had to fill them with something delicious so of course I did not bake (it definitely would not be delicious) but Salisbury's did me proud!

I was also SO proud of two of my lovely team as they presented at the training event in front of 300+ people!! So I made them both a little gift to let them know that I think they are both amazing...

And they really were amazing! SO inspirational and one of the presenters Sarah Poulton, had travelled from the Isle of Wight with her partner and her little daughter and it was her daughters birthday on the Saturday and she was so selfless to share it with us!
